About Liesel BocklLiesel Bockl was born in Japan and grew up bilingual. She completed her education at Purdue University in the US, and has built a successful career as a professional photographer, graphic designer and art director working with top creatives in the United States, Canada and Japan as well as London, where she is now based. UK clients include The National Trust, Moccis UK, The Round House, The Vine and SouthWest Trains. Japanese clients include Kukkia, Apple Japan, Tokyo Broadcasting Service, Toei Films, Benesse Corporation, Shindo Music and Sawako Furuno Helmets. Noodoll already had a very strong visual look, the challenge of the shoot was to keep the look spot on with the existing visual presence but also improving on the way the plush toys were shot.
Many years of living abroad have eroded my Japanese mannerisms but whenever I return to Japan, I am reminded by many aspects of Japanese culture that makes it so unique.
