VirCru is a premium tech product that helps boat owners stay connected with their boats when not onboard. The beautifully designed products are “ always on”, and give boat owners peace of mind by monitoring power usage, alerts about water as well as security.
After the pre-launch campaign, new product photography was needed to help extend marketing channels from June ’21. The new website photography needed to communicate the key concepts “ Simplicity”, “Always On”, and “ Waterproof”. VirCru also needed high-quality ecommerce product photography of their products to use on the product pages of the new website.
After proposing several creative photography ideas, the key creative shots were narrowed down to 10 studio images. One day was dedicated to shooting simple but clean product shots which included individual shots and detail shots. The second day focused on creative studio photography using flash lighting and various different photography backgrounds. Some shots also included an iPhone to illustrate the connection between boat and owner.
We experimented with water photography to illustrate the “waterproof” aspect of the product. The images can be seen in on the VirCru website, distributor sites and social media feeds.
