Dara Ford Bespoke Tailoring

THE BRIEF

Dara, who creates beautiful bespoke outfits for women, needed striking ecommerce fashion and product photography to launch her new ready-to-wear collection.

She required an experienced studio photographer and a photo studio in Richmond to create high quality fashion images for her online advertising channels as well as social media to promote her new collection.

THE SOLUTION

There were 50 looks to be shot so the photo shoot took place over two days. On the first day, we shot the on-model shots in the studio with two professional models with the help of a fashion stylist and make-up artist. We spent an additional second day shooting flat lay photography without models and professional ecommerce images using artificial lighting and natural light and a studio assistant.

The final images speak for themselves, we used two studio lights with a beauty dish and large soft box against a colour backdrop to successfully create visual contrast and capture the beautiful colours and fabrics of the designs. The colours really pop in the resulting images and show off the beautiful details of the jackets, dresses and silk camisoles.

Dara was very happy with the final images. She wanted to keep the images natural, so I lifted the colours a little post-production and dis some light tidying. Luckily, because the quality of the product and models were already very high, very little photo editing was needed.

THE CLIENT

Dara Ford’s passion is designing clothes that make women feel and look their best, with timeless and chic designs. She launched her first ready-to-wear collection in November 2021 which focuses on work wear essentials, tailored separates for professional women.
