THE CLIENT
Quarleys is a sugar and additive-free dried fruit snack brand. Their fruit snacks are shaped like flower petals and are healthy as well as beautiful.
THE BRIEF
In preparation for the launch of online store, Quarleys needed high quality product shots of their dried fruit product line which included apple, pineapple, mango and pear. Along with pack shots of each product, the photoshoot needed to capture creative food photography images which would be used on her new website and social media platforms.
THE SOLUTION
Working in my food photography studio and with a photo assistant, we created a library of images which included everything Quarleys needed to launch the ecommerce website. We started with simple pack shot photography to show the different products, then moved to more elaborate creative food photography which would be used as web banners and hero shots on the website. We got some beautiful food shots using natural light using a very shallow depth of field.
The last part of the day was spent focusing on shots that would show potential customers how the product could be enjoyed, in baking, added to cereals, used in corporate events as well as the finishing touches of a cocktail.
I managed the food shoot from start to finish, working as the art director, the photographer and the food stylist. With the help of the client and an assistant, I delivered over 90 lifestyle and product images in time for the website launch.
